Join the City of Redmond Finance Team as our new Financial Services Manager. Redmond is looking for an experienced manager to provide leadership, oversight and performance feedback to divisional staff to ensure established service and productivity levels are achieved.  This position is responsible for treasury, cash management, debt issuance, utility billing, accounts receivable and purchasing.  The new Financial Services Manager will work closely with the Finance Management Team on activities, such as customer service initiatives, technology implementations, process improvement plans and employee development efforts.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Job Functions:

  • Evaluate, develop and collaborate with other Finance Managers and the Finance Director to integrate divisional policies and procedures into broader department goals and objectives.
  • Analyze impacts, coordinate and collaborate with other regional partners, cities, agencies and community to resolve regional fiscal and operational policy issues.
  • Manage the integration of technology systems and business processes for financial related services, such as banking, cash receipting, utility billing and purchasing.
  • Establish customer service standards, policy and training.
  • Develop internal control policies, guidelines, processes and procedures for fiscal activities.
  • Steward the City's investment portfolio and cash management practices. Monitor Federal, State and City laws, regulations and codes applicable to areas supervised. 

QUALIFICATIONS

Equivalent combination of education and experience to:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or a related field.
  • At least (6) six years of experience in professional finance operations.
  • At least (3) years of experience in a supervisory or management capacity role.
